Anorexia - Haikus Her evanescent
Body disappears as she
Starves for perfection

She drowns in her tears
Repulsed at her reflection
A distorted view

~

Obsessed with her flaws
Ones that are non-existent
She beats her hunger

~

A desperation
To be the idealistic
Damsel of beauty

~

Ashen skin covers
Her brittle bones, a damaged
Soul, a broken doll

~

Brainwashing the youth
The media glorifies
Quixotic beauty

~

Her poisoned mind strives
To embody perfection
One pound at a time

A deadly affair
With Miss Anorexia
Strips her sanity

~

Insecurity
Crawls through her mind filling it
With bitter self-doubts

~

Uncontrollable
Obsession
The love that never was With my eyes shut
I sat amid the mist of dawn
My heart fluttered in harmony
With the wings of a white dove
As I meditated amongst the morning fog’s chill
Your voice would echo through the dark foliages
Of black forestry that lay between us
And sang its way into my heart
Whispering “I love you”
Your face would spring into my vision
The way your eyes looked deeply into me
As you said those three most beautiful words
You were the yellow smiles of my gloomy autumn
The splendour of your charming nature
Oozed incessantly from your spirit
A bright halo glistened from within your soul
As you promised to nurture my fr
Unattractive I stare at my reflection
In the mirror, my incessant foe
To seek beauty
To seek self-love
Only to find
A broken doll
With an upturned smile
Staring back spitefully
She is
I am
Unattractive.
The truth about love... Love is a veiled trap.

It’s easy to fall into it, but difficult to climb out.

Once we’ve fallen, it uses up all our strength to get out.

Whilst the other person, watches us fall, laughs and then forgets us, leaving us there trapped in the bitter fallacy of wonderland.

Worst of all, we spend all our time sitting there tangled in our wounds, wasting tears over the fact that we have fallen into a deceiving trap, rather than pursuing our emotional survival instinct, and taking the route to climb out, escape and save ourselves.
